CNS & Pain/Inflammation

Aging global populations and increased life expectancy are both key factors that contribute to the increased prevalence of central nervous system (CNS) disorders.  In addition, complications associated with metabolic diseases (e.g., Type II diabetes) promote the development of CNS-related disorders such as neuropathic pain. Moreover, the obesity that is commonly associated with Type II diabetes is a risk factor for the development of other chronically painful conditions such as osteoarthritis. These factors have contributed to the demand for new CNS and analgesic therapies; however the success rate of clinical development programs for treatments of CNS and pain-related conditions have been lower than desired.

There are many contributing factors that have led to less than ideal results, so it becomes critically important to choose the right CRO to support your development program. CRMG has both the clinical operational expertise and the resources to provide the experience needed to execute your clinical trial in an optimal fashion.

CRMG’s CNS history goes back to the founding of the company and includes studies in neurology, psychiatry and analgesia. Our experience has enabled us to establish long-term relationships with CNS clinical experts and to resource studies with seasoned teams that understand these diseases and the operational complexities involved in the trials.  Whether it’s choosing the right instrument to collect patient reported outcomes (PROs), designing strategies to improve patient enrollment and retention, or leveraging the right technologies to ensure reliable data, CRMG has the expertise to guide your CNS study to a successful outcome.
